Online Laboratory Attendance Logger

This online laboratory attendance logger system is able to assist the laboratory supervisor or lecturer to record student’s attendance. All they need to do is only register laboratory sessions and student’s details on the system for the new semester. During laboratory session, students are required to log into the system using a personal computer or portable device such as Wi-Fi enabled tablets and smartphone, and digitally sign the register so that their attendance will be recorded. On the other hand, this system is capable to provide a visual representation of collected data. First of all, it will provide a graphical representation of student’s attendance statistic from overall to individual. Next, laboratory utilization statistic such as hours of occupancy and room fill ratio will also be provided. Thus, by deploying this system in the university, student’s attendance and laboratory can be managed more easily and efficiently

Future Work

Implementing Lightweight Directory Authentication Protocol service into the system that is able to connect the university system to authenticate user.
